Bed Bugs

Bed BugsNo matter how nice or clean a bedroom looks, it could be infested. Bed bugs live anywhere people sleep—in homes, hotels, hospitals and schools—and quietly feed on human blood. In fact, you might not know you have bed bugs until you (or your customers) find the tell-tale itchy red bumps caused by their bites.

Finding and eliminating bed bugs is best left to the professionals. Bed bugs like to hide in small crevices, making them difficult to detect and even harder to kill.  They often hide in bedroom walls, mattresses, carpet, nightstands and even alarm clocks.

Canine Bed Bug Inspection

Connor's Canine Bed Bug DetectionWhen it comes to bed bug detection, dogs are our best friends. Connor’s Pest Protection partners with K-9 Pest Detection to offer cutting-edge canine bed bug inspections by certified, trained professional dogs.  K-9 bed bug dogs can detect odors 10,000 times better than humans and find bed bugs wherever they hide.  Canine detection enables us to precisely identify and treat only the problem areas, which means lower costs and less disruption of your space.

Bed Bug Treatment

Our goal is to effectively kill the bed bugs with minimal disruption of your home or business environment.  After a thorough bed bug inspection, we recommend a customized treatment approach using heat treatment, conventional treatment or fumigation.

Heat Bed Bug Treatment (or Thermal Remediation)

Heat treatment, or thermal remediation, involves the application of extreme heat to kill bed bugs. Our specially designed heat-generating equipment creates and maintains a precise high temperature that the bed bugs and their eggs cannot survive. This revolutionary treatment is environmentally responsible, and requires less planning and preparation.

Conventional Bed Bug Treatment

In conventional bed bug treatment, environmentally responsible products are applied in conjunction with steam treatment. This treatment option is relatively more time-consuming and causes some living space disruption. Eliminating bed bugs using conventional methods requires a minimum of three intense treatments, usually scheduled two weeks apart.

Bed Bug Fumigation

For homes, fumigation is the most aggressive and effective treatment option. During fumigation, the building is secured in a gigantic plastic tent and the entire interior is treated with a product called Vikane.  Because of its higher cost and significant planning and preparation requirements, we recommend fumigation for only the most problematic bed bug infestations.

Our thorough treatment process ends with a follow-up inspection to ensure success.  You will rest easy knowing the bed bugs are gone.
