What to Expect with a Termite Inspection

Monday, 22nd March 2010

Termite infestations increase as the weather warms, so homeowners need to know what to expect with a termite inspection. According to Paul Escobedo of NewHomesSection.com, pest control professionals go through a process when they inspect homes.

First, the professional will conduct a visual inspection. The inspector will look at the exterior, interior and sub spaces of the home. In some cases, the attic will be checked as well. During the inspection, the inspector will look for any signs of an infestation.

The inspector will then examine his findings. If signs of termites were discovered, he will recommend treatment options. If termites were not discovered, he will discuss preventative measures you can take in order to protect your home from a termite infestation.

Termite inspections are important, as they protect homes from termite damage. Termite damage is incredibly costly, and can be avoided by having homes inspected and using preventative measures.
