The Truth About Stink Bugs
Friday, 19th February 2010
During the winter months, stink bugs go inside of homes to hibernate. This is a cause for alarm for many homeowners. The bugs look frightening, and many think they are harmful. That is not the case, though, according to the Trentonian. The newspaper reports the bugs are harmless, even though they do emit a foul smelling odor.
The Trentonian reports the bugs are not harmful to people or pets. In addition, they are not destructive to the home.
However, they do scare people, and they release an odor when frightened. Because of that, people typically take action to eliminate the bugs. The best way to get rid of stink bugs is to catch them and place them in a jar that contains soapy water or rubbing alcohol. This will kill the bugs quickly.
It is important to remember that stink bugs are a nuisance, but they are not a danger. As the weather warms up, these bugs will go back outdoors. In the meantime, homeowners can do their own pest control in order to eliminate the bugs.
