According to Gothamist, these bugs share many behaviors with bedbugs. For instance, they are skilled hitchhikers. They get in suitcases and clothing, and are able to move from one location to the next relatively easily. In addition, they can easily infest a home, and they are difficult to catch.

While they do not bite, homeowners likely want to remove the bugs due to their unpleasant odor. However, the site points out one should not crush these bugs. They release their odor when crushed, and thus should be captured and flushed down the toilet.

Unfortunately, stinkbugs are not easy to capture. Many homeowners fail at capturing the bugs, and end up calling a pest control company. The company is able to assess the situation and remove the stinkbugs from the home.
