Stinkbugs Are Getting Ready to Move Inside
Wednesday, 1st September 2010
According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, stinkbugs spend the warm months looking for food. The quest for food brings them to the flowers and plants that sit outside of people’s homes. When the weather cools off, though, they leave their perch among the greenery and move inside. Once they are inside, they look for places they can rest for the winter.
Often, they end up in insulation and inside of walls. Then, when the weather warms back up, they come out of the walls in droves. They make their way into the living areas of the home, and give the home’s inhabitants quite a scare.
Homeowners are encouraged to seal up all entry points so stinkbugs cannot make it into their homes when the weather cools down. Even after the cracks are sealed, though, most people will still end up with some stinkbugs in their homes. When that happens, they should contact a pest control professional to eliminate the bugs.
