Stinging Pests Pose Threat

Friday, 13th August 2010

When people spend time outdoors, they often have to contend with pests.  During the warm months, many of those pests have stingers.  Yellow jackets, wasps and bees are all problems for people in the spring and summer months.  According to the National Pest Management Association, this problem should not be taken lightly.

Homeowners should inspect their property on a regular basis.  During these inspections, they should look for nests.  Nests can be found in a variety of places, including garages, sheds and under porches.  In addition, people should check their attics, as many pests place nests up in the beams of attics.

If a nest is found, the National Pest Management Association recommends people call a pest control professional.  Professionals have the equipment and skills necessary to get rid of the nest without being stung.  That way, you can eliminate the stinging pests without putting you, or your family, in danger.
