It’s August, which means families are trying to squeeze out the last bit of fun before school starts back up. The National Pest Management Association (NPMA) recently released a statement urging people to exercise caution while outside during the summer months. While a single bee sting is usually little more than a painful nuisance, unless the victim is allergic it is not too much of a problem. However, when several bees sting a single target, such as what might happen if someone attempts to disturb or exterminate a nest, the results can be life-threatening. As such, the NPMA strongly advises against attempting to remove a stinging insect infestation yourself.
