Peak Flea Season is an Important Time for Flea Control
Friday, 24th June 2011
Fleas can attack your pets and your home all throughout the year. They are surprisingly adaptive creatures and can jump, carry, and crawl their way to your pet and your home during most months especially the warmer months. Yet as important as flea control is, there are certain times of the year where it becomes essentially vital – during the peak flea season.
When is the Peak Flea Season?
Your home and your pets need flea control the most during the August and September months. That is peak flea season, when fleas have managed to spread and breed after feeding starts in the early spring months. While fleas may be a problem between February and October, it is the final two months of summer when they are nearly a guarantee to invade most homes and bite your furry companions.
Fleas can be generally avoided using flea medications for pets, but fleas can live on your furniture and carpet even without feeding on your dog or cat. If you would like flea control in and around your home, contact Connor's Pest today. Our experts will schedule a time to come in and prevent flea bites for you and your pet.
