Managing Bed Bugs

Wednesday, 16th June 2010

As bed bug infestations are on the rise, many people are wondering what they can do to manage the pests. According to the Harvard School of Public Health, there are several things people can do to manage bed bugs.

First, they need to look for signs of a bed bug infestation. If people have bed bug bites or see dead bed bugs on their mattresses, they will know they have bed bugs.

Next, they need to clean their homes. They should vacuum around the infested area to suck up any bugs. In addition, bedding should be scrubbed. Bed bug eggs stick to bedding, and scrubbing will dislodge the eggs.

People must also remove clutter from the home. If a home is full of clutter, bed bugs have lots of places to hide.

Lastly, peoel need to call in a pest control professional if the bed bug problem persists. While people can manage bed bugs, they cannot eliminate them on their own. Thus, they need to seek professional help to get rid of the bugs.
