Keep Your Home and Yard Free of Pests
Tuesday, 20th April 2010
Prevention is an important part of pest control. The Detroit Free Press states there are several things people can do to protect their homes and yards from pests.
First, people need to examine their yards. They should walk around their yards, looking for nests and webs. This exploration should include barbeque grills, patio furniture and other items located in the yard.
People must also check their landscaping. Some types of landscaping, such as roses and peonies, harbors ants and other pests. Thus, it should not touch the house. Also, plants should be checked for pests before the homeowner brings them inside.
People must also keep their homes clean and free of trash. Pests feed on garbage and leftover food. By cleaning the home and removing the trash promptly, people can eliminate the food supply pests count on to survive.
People need to focus on pest prevention. By preventing pests from entering the home, they can prevent the headache that comes with a pest infestation.
