Isolating a Bed Bug Infestation
Tuesday, 7th December 2010
When people discover bed bugs in their homes, it is important that they take the right steps to control the problem. First, they must contact a pest control professional and schedule an appointment. Then, as they wait for the pest control professional to arrive, they need to contain he bed bugs.
According to the Daily Gleaner, people can contain the bugs by shutting the doors and windows in the infested room. Then, they need to place packing tape over the doors and any cracks. This prevents the bugs from moving from one room to the next, which means the infestation will be easier to deal with when the pest control professionals arrive.
Bed bugs are a serious problem for homeowners, but the threat can be lessened by isolated them to certain rooms of the home. It is important to understand, though, that once the bugs are contained to a room, pest control professionals must come out and apply treatments in order to control the problem.
