Identifying a Cockroach Infestation

Monday, 22nd February 2010

Checking for cockroach infestations is something all homeowners should do. If an infestation occurs, homeowners need to take pest control measurers immediately. Thus, the University of California recommends people take several steps in order to check for cockroach infestations. If cockroaches are discovered, people are urged to take action immediately.

Traps are a useful tool when looking for cockroaches in the home. Traps should be placed in several locations around the house. Once they are placed, they should be checked daily. By doing this, people can find the source of cockroaches and discover the severity of an infestation.

Flashlights are another useful tool when looking for cockroach infestations. Flashlights should be used to inspect cracks and dark areas around the home. People can also use a mirror with a long handle so they can expect areas that are difficult to reach.

Identifying an infestation is the first step in eliminating the roaches. After an infestation is discovered, pest control measures should be taken.
