Habits of Bed Bugs

Thursday, 14th January 2010

Bed bugs are most active at night, when the occupants of a home are sleeping. During the night, the bed bugs come out of hiding and latch onto their prey.

Pat Brennan of the Orange County Register states many people do not even realize the bugs bit them. The nocturnal habits of bed bugs keep them undetected for the most part.

However, some people do notice signs of a bed bug attack the next morning. Some people realize they have a bed bug problem when they see waste on the sheets from the bed bugs. In addition, some will wake up with bites that are itchy and swollen. At that time, they become aware they have bed bugs.

Many people turn to a pest control company for bed bug removal. Brennan notes bed bug removal is incredibly difficult for homeowners. Companies have advanced equipment and material, which makes the process easier.
