Connor’s Pest Control Becomes First Company in DC to Offer New Sentricon Always Active
Sentricon Always Active Has More Features than Previous Sentricon Termite Products

Springfield, VA.  For years, Sentricon has been the termite colony elimination system of choice for various residential and commercial structures, including the White House and the Statue of Liberty.  Now, Dow AgroSciences has created Sentricon Always Active, a new system that offers more features than the previous product.  Connor’s Pest Protection is the first, and currently only, pest control company in the DC Metro area that offers this product to its clients.  According to Connor’s, Sentricon Always Active effectively controls entire colonies of termites.

Like Sentricon, Sentricon Always Active uses monitoring and baiting to protect homes and businesses.   However, Sentricon Always Active distributes bait and manages colonies differently than the old Sentricon units did.  With the older systems, baiting stations were placed in the soil around the home. Then, pest control professionals would come out to the home several times a year to inspect for termites.  If a colony was identified, the professional would add bait to the unit, and then come back for another inspection to make sure the colony was eliminated.  Now, with the new systems, Recruit HD bait is placed in the unit prior to installation, which means termites can be controlled as soon as the unit is installed.   Because of that, those who use this new system only have to get one inspection per year.

Along with the new bait, Sentricon Always Active also uses LID Technology.  This technology helps pest control professionals find Sentricon units during inspections.  In addition, the technology allows professionals to keep track of the units that have been serviced.  This leaves homeowners feeling satisfied that the termites are being taken care of while also reducing the hassle for the homeowner to a minimum.

The new Recruit HD Bait is also more powerful than the previous Recruit Bait.  Recruit HD Bait is preferred 4 to 1 over wood by termites, ensuring the termites will take the bait, and it can kill entire colonies of the pests.  In addition, it includes 2.3 times more active ingredients than the standard Recruit bait does.
