Bed Bug Infestations Are Growing
Friday, 30th September 2011
Nearly everyone knows someone that has been affected by the recent growth in bed bug populations. These days there are homes all over the country that have been affected, and no place is “safe” from these biting pests.
According to a recent survey by National Pest Management Association, some of the most affected properties are those with high foot traffic and multiple rooms, seeing increases as high as 300%. The NPMA found that the five most infected places were:
- College Dorms
- Hotels
- Nursing Homes
- Schools
- Offices
Even hospitals have been affected by these notorious travelers, which are extremely difficult to remove and potentially dangerous when they show up in a hospital setting.
Take Precautions and Seek Immediate Pest Control HelpWith so many homes and properties at risk for bed bugs, it’s important that you take all of the right precautions and remove the pests any time they enter your home. A single bed bug can lead to a nasty infestation, and these infestations can spread everywhere.
