3 Things You Shouldn’t do with Bedbugs

Friday, 19th March 2010

Bedbug infestations are on the rise, and because of that, homeowners are trying to control the problem. They often make mistakes when dealing with these pests.  Mistakes can be costly, and can make the problem worse.

According to the Harvard School of Public Health, there are certain things homeowners should not do when they spot bedbugs.  First, they should not panic.  A level head and a strong strategy are needed to eliminate the bugs.

Next, people should not use pesticides unless they completely understand the risks and purpose of the chemicals.  It is best to hire a pest control professional to remove the bedbugs.  Professionals can use chemicals, as well as other treatment methods. In addition, they have the benefit of bedbug detecting dogs that make it easier to eliminate the problem.

Lastly, homeowners should not throw out useful furniture. Often, people discard their furniture in order to eliminate the bedbugs.  Proper pest control treatments can save the furniture while getting rid of the pests.

Homeowners need to keep a level head and take immediate action when they spot bedbugs.  They can use a pest control company to get their homes back from the bugs.
